A viral AI video has reimagined President Donald Trump’s glitzy state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping as a debaucherous all-night White House bender straight out of “The Hangover.”
Trump hosted Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan at the White House on Saturday, where the East Room was packed with some of the biggest names in tech.
Notable billionaire attendees included Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, Sergey Brin, co-founder of Alphabet/Google, and Satya Nadella, chairman and CEO of Microsoft.
The star-studded affair gave AI creator Sovey plenty of recognizable faces to work with for a parody imagining the photographic evidence that might have been left behind if the dignified state dinner had gone spectacularly off the rails.

The 55-second video opens the next morning in the Lincoln Bedroom, where Musk wakes up looking like he just survived the worst state dinner hangover in White House history.
A disheveled Musk discovers a camera sitting on the bedside table and quickly realizes Xi apparently left behind the photographic evidence.
“Looks like Xi left his camera behind,” Musk says as he picks it up. “What happened last night?”

The answer comes as Flo Rida’s 2009 hit “Right Round” kicks in, providing the soundtrack for an increasingly unhinged camera roll documenting a fictional night of White House debauchery.
Trump is first seen crowd-surfing across the state dinner table before the party spills into the rest of the White House. Soon, the president is riding a horse through the halls and chasing Secretary of State Marco Rubio (R-FL) with a lasso.
Things only get worse from there. Xi strips down to ride a mechanical bull in nothing but his pants and a cowboy hat, while another snapshot catches Musk and Vice President JD Vance (R-OH) staging what appears to be a drunken jousting match on tiny motorized vehicles.
At some point, a llama in a bow tie joins the party. Rubio is left dealing with that problem too.
The chaos eventually escapes onto the White House grounds, where Xi takes a lawn tractor for a spin with first lady Melania Trump riding along.
Elsewhere, tuxedo-clad partygoers pile into a giant swan boat, Trump and Xi join a human pyramid and a mattress becomes an improvised sled down a White House staircase.
By then, the fictional state dinner has completely surrendered any remaining dignity. A food fight leaves the White House kitchen trashed as a bird sails through the air, someone in an inflatable dinosaur costume chases Musk down a hallway and one unfortunate guest ends up sliding across the floor amid the wreckage.
The morning-after photos aren’t much better. Partygoers are sprawled outside as someone hoses them down, while Rubio somehow ends up sitting next to a bald eagle. Trump and Xi eventually appear beneath the Lincoln Memorial looking like two men who have made a long series of questionable decisions together.
Sovey, who created the video, presented the entire disaster with a simple explanation on X.
“What really happened after the State Dinner. The lost Xi camera roll has been found,” the post read.
The fake evidence had commenters howling. Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer called it “one of the funniest videos I’ve seen in a while,” while conservative commentator Juanita Broaddrick had an even simpler review. “This is hilarious!” she wrote.
Defiant L’s immediately spotted the inspiration behind the morning-after camera reveal.
“As a Hangover fan, I approve,” the account wrote.
Monica Crowley, who served in the first Trump administration, played along as though the video had gotten a little too close to the truth.
“Can neither confirm nor deny,” she joked.
Catturd credited AI with making the platform itself considerably more entertaining.
“I have to admit, X has been a lot more entertaining and funny since AI was introduced,” the popular account wrote.
Other commenters leaned completely into the idea that Sovey had uncovered the footage the public was never supposed to see.
“Thank God they banned CNN, MS Now, and Politico and let independent journalists in. Thanks for reporting this!” one user joked.
“The real reason some of the media wasn’t allowed at the state dinner with Xi,” another added.
Even individual pieces of the fictional evidence got their own running commentary.
“Is that General Tso’s chicken on the way to the chef?” one viewer asked about the bird caught flying through the kitchen.
“Supposed to be a Peking Duck!!” another responded.
Rubio’s encounter with the formally dressed llama earned him a new imaginary administration job.
“Party Lama Wrangler,” one commenter declared.
The entire production was enough for one viewer to call it “the funniest fucking thing I’ve seen in years!”
Another marveled at the apparent bond Trump and Xi had formed during their imaginary night of destruction.
“It’s like Trump and Xi became blood bothers last night,” the user joked.
The video eventually reached Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), who reposted it on X, while other viewers began lobbying to make sure someone inside the administration saw it.
“OMG someone in the Trump administration HAS to see this,” one commenter wrote. “Hope so!” Sovey replied.
There was apparently even more evidence from the night that didn’t make the original camera roll.
“Forgot to put this one in!” Sovey later wrote while posting another AI image.
The missing snapshot prompted one final observation from a commenter who thought the parody had overlooked an essential ingredient. “It wouldn’t be a night out with Trump without McDonald’s.”
