A group of female Democratic lawmakers found themselves at the center of online ridicule from conservatives following a viral video portraying them as characters in a “choose your fighter” style parody.
This short clip stirred up a storm across social media platforms, as conservative critics rushed to voice their disapproval for the “cringe” skit.
This promotional video, set to the theme song from Super Smash Brothers, featured a group of female Democratic House Representatives mimicking combat stances reminiscent of popular fighting video games.
Critics quickly latched onto the visuals, describing the skit as “cringeworthy” and dismissing the attempt as an ineffective way to connect with younger voters.

The clip, originally shared on TikTok by influencer Sulhee Jessica Woo for Womenâs History Month, showcased Woo beginning the sequence.
She introduced herself with superimposed angel wings and quirky “stats” such as “bento box queen; mommy of the century; sleep deprived.”
The video, shared with hashtags like “#womenshistorymonth,” “#fighter,” and “#savedemocracy,” quickly caught attention onlineâbut not all of it was favorable.
Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was next to appear, with playful labels including âNew Yorkâs 14th Congressional District; youngest woman + Latina elected to the House; Trekkie.â
Following her, Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-IL) was depicted with attributes including âyoungest Black woman elected to Congress; co-founded the Black Maternal Office; hates balloons.â
Each representative was briefly highlighted with their âstats.â For instance, House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA) was presented as someone from Massachusettsâ 5th District who is ânot into hair dye.â
Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) was branded âtoo sweetâ while being recognized as the first Chinese-American woman to serve in Congress.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) was tagged with descriptors like âTexasâ 30th Congressional District; Public defender + attorney; not a morning person.â
Finally, Rep. Susie Lee (D-NV) wrapped up the segment with information about her representing Nevadaâs 3rd Congressional District and being âPresident of Communities in Schools of Nevada,â alongside the out there tidbit of having â2 sprained fingers.â

Despite its original intent of honoring womenâs achievements, the video drew heavy backlash from conservative critics across social platforms.
The White House’s own rapid response social media team joined the mocking, tweeting, “Democrats Not Be Cringe Challenge. Level: Impossible.”
Other notable figures chimed in with scorn. GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) criticized, “Trump Deranged Democrats release âchoose your fighter skitâ after refusing to stand and clap for a child with cancer during President Trumpâs address to congress.”

Meanwhile, GOP Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC) sarcastically commented, “I’ll take ‘Reasons why Democrats are not in the majority’ for $1,000.”
Political commentator Tom Bevan joined the fray, tweeting, âThis is nuts. Dems are getting terrible political advice. As @elonmusk says, this is not rocket science. Itâs politics 101 â and the Dems are failing.â
“Our side will be in power forever if this is our opposition,” X account End Wokeness added.
