Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, showed her support for a post by former President Donald Trump and was forced to defend herself from fierce backlash.
Trump’s Instagram post listed “The 2024 GOP Platform” to “Make America Great Again,” highlighting points like tax cuts, no tax on tips, border security, and curbing illegal immigration.
He also promised to “end inflation,” “Make America Affordable Again,” and “Keep men out of women’s sports.”
Liberal social media immediately tried to cancel her for daring to like anything Trump stands for, but Mahomes did not wilt under the online attacks.

“I mean honestly,” she replied to the criticism in an Instagram Story on Friday. “To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood.”
“There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well,” Mahomes noted.
Left-wing keyboard warriors came out swinging after she liked Trump’s post.
“Patrick Mahomes, imagine marrying someone who doesn’t care about your rights and your kid’s rights,” someone wrote.
“Brittany Mahomes agreeing with Project 2025 but married to a black man with mixed kids is insane.”
“Brittany Mahomes has always been unlikable… Why is anyone surprised she’s a Trump supporter???” another added.
“People surprised that Brittany Mahomes is a trump supporter like there was never a doubt in my mind who she supported,” someone else tweeted. “I took one look at the woman and knew.”
let me get this right. Steph Curry can endorse Kamala Harris live at the DNC but people are shaming Brittany Mahomes because she liked a Trump post? pic.twitter.com/JtJL9Y6LtD

The criticism was mainly on X (formerly Twitter), because Mahomes shut off comments on her Instagram page.
Meanwhile, her three-time Super Bowl champion husband, Patrick Mahomes, has refrained from endorsing any candidate publicly.
In April the Chiefs’ star said he didn’t “want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president.”
Conservative commentators found the liberal outrage over Brittany Mahomes’ social media activity highly amusing.
“Brittany Mahomes liked a Trump Instagram post and the Left lost their minds. Her response message is PERFECT,” Libs of TikTok posted.
“Let me get this right. Steph Curry can endorse Kamala Harris live at the DNC but people are shaming Brittany Mahomes because she liked a Trump post?” someone else questioned.
Curry: That's why I believe that Kamala as president could bring that unity back and continue to move our country forward… It’s a honor to support Kamala so let’s all do our part pic.twitter.com/9aLOGAv27l

On the final day of the Democratic National Convention, Warriors star Stephen Curry supported Vice President Kamala Harris via a video, while sporting the gold medal he won with Team USA at the Paris Olympics.
He spoke about what a “great honor” it was for him to represent Team USA at the Games and wining a gold.
Curry said the “unity” he felt “on and off the court” reminded him that players from opposing NBA teams coming together can “inspire the world.”
“That’s why I believe that Kamala, as president, could bring that unity back and continue to move our country forward. This is about preserving hope and belief in our country, making sure families can be taken care of during their most precious times,” he remarked.
Curry’s endorsement followed Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr Monday speech at the Chicago event.
Kerr, who coached the USA men’s Olympic basketball team, emphasized, “After the results are tallied, we can, in the words of the great Steph Curry, tell Donald Trump, ‘Night, night!’”

Kerr referred to Curry’s three-pointer in Team USA’s game against France, which earned them the gold medal.
After the game winning shot, Curry gestured to the crowd, indicating he had put the French team to sleep.
“The reason I said yes to speaking here tonight is that, as a coach and former player, as a husband, a son, a father, even a grandfather, and as an American, I believe in a certain kind of leadership,” Kerr stated.
He said that “leaders must display dignity,” tell the truth, care for the people they’re leading, and “possess knowledge and expertise, but with the full awareness that none of us has all the answers.”

Kerr asserted that he saw the qualities he listed in Vice President Kamala Harris and her VP pick Tim Walz.
Kerr faced backlash after the speech over his past comments about the US and China.
In 2019, he was asked whether the NBA’s business interests clashed with China’s human rights record.
“None of us our perfect and we all have different issues that we have to get to,” he responded at the time.
He also wouldn’t give reporters a sound bite after then-Rockets GM Daryl Morey faced backlash for a tweet supporting Hong Kong protesters.
Both clips resurfaced on social media following his DNC speech and Trump’s campaign jumping on to bash him.
Steve Kerr said tonight that "speaking out about politics these days comes with risks… but it was too important as an American citizen to not speak up."

“Steve Kerr said tonight that “speaking out about politics these days comes with risks… but it was too important as an American citizen to not speak up,” the campaign tweeted.
“This is the same Steve Kerr that had no comment when he was asked about China’s human rights abuses,” they added.
The Trump campaign also posted a clip of his 2019 remarks along with the caption: “Kerr is an apologist for China’s human rights abuses.”
