Former President Donald Trump announced his intentions to run seek the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election, and liberals are losing their minds over the news.
“In order to make America great and glorious again. I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump said during a speech at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Tuesday.
“But just as I promised in 2016, I am your voice. I am your voice. The Washington establishment wants to silence us, but we will not let them do that,” he continued.
“What we have built together over the past six years is the greatest movement in history because it is not about politics. It’s about our love for this great country, America, and we’re not going to let it fail.”
Liberal celebrities and talking heads melted down on social media, particularly because Trump is under federal investigation for allegedly mishandling classified documents that the FBI seized in a raid of his private home at Mar-a-Lago in August.
“BREAKING NEWS: 45 Announces Future Failed Run For The Presidency,” Original Star Wars lead Mark Hamill tweeted.
“Can’t believe we’re doing this s–t again,” wrote Marvel star Jon Favreau.
“He tried to overthrow the government,” complained Rosemary’s Baby star Mia Farrow.
“An announcement from the DoJ would be… preferable,” added Mary Trump.
Former Biden Administration White House press secretary Jen Psaki tried to calm down the democratic hysteria with a reminder that Trump is still under investigation by the Department of Justice.
“For anyone who needs to hear this — trump announcing he is running for President does not have a legal impact on investigations,” she tweeted. “No one at DOJ watched that speech and ripped up all of the work they have been pursuing.”
“We’ve defeated him before. We’ll defeat him again,” chimed in Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).
“Donald Trump failed America,” added Charmed witch Alyssa Milano. “We will defeat him again.”
Their reassurances did little to quell the liberal panic on social media. Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer defeatedly noted: “If he wins, he can only serve one four year term. Just sayin…”
While Backdraft star Billy Baldwin refuses to believe Trump will ever be elected into office again.
“I pray the GOP is dumb enough to nominate Trump in 2024. He will never win… he knows it,” he wrote. “He will continue to grift his cult for a few hundred million more to pay his legal fees and support his lifestyle as he delivers the final death blow to the Republican Party.”
“When the first movie was really bad it rarely leads to a successful sequel,” claimed journalist Dan Rather.
“Good luck [you] orange n–i #byeTRUMP,” Rosie O’Donnell tweeted.
Hocus Pocus witch Bette Midler may need to take some Xanax to calm down after her epic meltdown over Trump’s announcement.
“That’s #Trump to you. He’s giving the same speech he gave in 2016,” she began. “After a two year pandemic, and a million American lives lost, the rest of us have moved on. He is ossified. May he rot.”
He just handed us two more years of his #delusions and #drivel,” she continued. “IT’S OFFICIAL! The new name for its campaign is #MAGAGA! Congratulations to whoever got there first, let’s take it all the way!!”
Stand By Me director Rob Reiner got absolutely owned by Twitter for his detracting post.
“There’s no other way to put this: Donald Trump is a complete and utter fool,” he tweeted. “Not to mention a Career Criminal. Time to Indict and put the last nail into his Corrupt Coffin.”
“Don’t hold your breath,” someone replied. “Simmer down Meatloaf,” another added.
“Better watch that blood pressure. Going to be a loooong 6 years for you,” one person remarked.
“Why don’t you take a look at all the corruption and criminal activity on your side of the fence,” someone else shot back.
