Kid Rock is fully behind President Donald Trump’s efforts since taking office in January, applauding the administration’s aggressive move to roll back Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives during its first 100 days in office.
The 54-year-old musician, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, made his remarks during a Fox & Friends appearance Wednesday morning, where he celebrated what he saw as a strong start to Trump’s second term.
Describing Trump’s early presidency as “fan-frickin-tastic,” Kid Rock told the hosts, “I mean I think I heard it this morning, he is the commander-in-chief, but [he is] a businessman-in-chief.”
Taking aim at what he called decades of poor economic policy, the singer noted, “The business of America has been terrible, especially the last four years, but really decades before this.”

Kid Rock highlighted the president’s controversial elimination of DEI programs, which Trump recently declared “illegal” and stripped of federal funding.
“To have someone come in who is putting our country first and curing the border, I mean I call him the dragon slayer for all this woke, DEI stuff that he took out,” he said.
Continuing, the “American Badass” singer credited Trump for a renewed patriotic spirit.

“Just bringing the real fabric of America back, you know, patriotism is at an all time high,” he said. “Our people are joining our military again. How much time have you got, I could go on and on and on.”
Kid Rock, a longtime Trump ally, has appeared beside the president during key events, including the signing of an executive order aimed at cracking down on ticket scalping.
Kid Rock reveals Bill Maher looked really nervous when he walked into the Oval Office to meet with President Trump and said, “I need a drink.”

Standing in the Oval Office clad in American flag-themed attire, he supported reforms to the live entertainment industry and spoke out against bots used to buy tickets in bulk.
“I want the fans to have fair ticket prices,” he said, backing eventual legislation to cap purchases.
But while Kid Rock lauded the president’s policies, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy struck a more skeptical tone.
Portnoy, once a vocal Trump supporter, has shifted his stance amid a sharp downturn in the stock market.
The first 100 days of Trump’s current term have seen the stock market struggle and swing wildly.
Still, Trump deflected blame, posting on Truth Social: “This is Biden’s Stock Market, not Trump’s… I didn’t take over until January 20th.”
“Tariffs will soon start kicking in, and companies are starting to move into the USA in record numbers,” Trump added.
“Our Country will boom, but we have to get rid of the Biden ‘Overhang.’ This will take a while, has NOTHING TO DO WITH TARIFFS.”
Portnoy wasn’t buying it. “What’s that old expression? Don’t piss down my back and tell me it’s raining? Well that applies here,” he posted on X, dismissing Trump’s deflection.
What’s that old expression? Don’t piss down my back and tell me it’s raining? Well that applies here. The stock market is a direct reflection of Trumps 1st 100 days in office. Doesn’t mean it won’t get better and that we don’t need to be patient, but this is his market not Bidens pic.twitter.com/GVDCyL8NKH

“The stock market is a direct reflection of Trumps 1st 100 days in office. Doesn’t mean it won’t get better… but this is his market not Bidens (sic).”
His discontent isn’t new. Earlier this month, Portnoy admitted he had taken significant financial hits due to Trump’s tariff strategy.
“I don’t think I realized that we’d have this market crash,” he said. “I don’t think most people did.” He estimated his losses around $20 million, or roughly 20 percent of his net worth.
Dave Portnoy after losing $7 million: I’m still gonna give him time. Trump said ‘it was a sick patient, we needed to take medicine’. I’m taking my medicine. I don’t like my medicine but I’m willing to take it. I voted for him.

Despite his criticism, Portnoy still found himself in close proximity to the president earlier this month.
At UFC 314 in Miami, the two shared a brief exchange after Trump made a grand entrance into the Kaseya Center. Portnoy, who greeted Trump with a handshake and hug, later revealed he complimented the president on his water pressure policies.
The moment drew backlash from some of Portnoy’s own followers, who questioned the friendliness given his recent critiques.

He responded by defending his political flexibility: “I’m getting people saying, ‘You’re such a scumbag. You said if the economy tanks in the next four years, you’d go Democrat.’ Like I’m the only one in the world who cares about the economy?”
Pressed further on whether he’d abandon Trump and the GOP, Portnoy answered, “Yeah, absolutely.”
“I was never some crazy MAGA guy,” he said, acknowledging discomfort with market instability.
“But I stand with it. He ran on tariffs… I think he believes in what he’s doing and trying to basically strong-arm China and get better deals for the US. I’m willing to still give him time.”
He added that the midterm elections could serve as a referendum: “If the stock market doesn’t show some signs of rebound or rebounding by then, I think people will speak with their vote.”
During the same UFC event, Portnoy made headlines again with his Octagon-side reaction to a controversial fighter’s defeat.
After Bryce Mitchell was forced to tap out during his match, Portnoy stood up, waved an Israeli flag, and posted online: “Always fun to see a Hitler lover get his a** whopped.”

Mitchell had drawn national outrage for previous comments in which he said, “I honestly think that Hitler was a good guy based upon my own research.”
He also claimed, “Before Hitler got on meth, he was a guy I’d go fishing with.”
He added, “He fought for his country. He wanted to purify it by kicking the greedy Jews out that were destroying his country and turning them all into gays.”
After a wave of condemnation Mitchell issued a public apology, acknowledging Hitler’s “evil” actions and promising to be “more considerate” going forward.

UFC President Dana White didn’t hold back in his response: “I’ve heard a lot of dumb and ignorant sh*t in my day, but this one is probably the worst.”
“Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil human beings to ever walk the face of the Earth,” White said. “Anyone that even tries to take an opposing position is a moron.”
According to White, “That’s the problem with the internet and social media. You provide a platform for a lot of dumb and ignorant people.”
