Kid Rock revealed juicy details about a surprising White House meeting between President Donald Trump and liberal comedian Bill Maher.
The conservative musician appeared Fox News to explain how he arranged for Maher to meet Trump, describing what went down when they all sat down for dinner with UFC CEO Dana White.
Despite years of animosity between Trump and Maher, Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie played a key role in facilitating the discussion, which both men later acknowledged.
“I went on Bill’s show, I went on his podcast and I said, ‘Man, you know, nothing happens if people don’t break bread together and meet face-to-face,’” Ritchie remarked.

“He’s been one of the president’s hardest critics. And we came to dinner, me, Bill, Dana White, and it could not have been better.”
The meeting, which defied expectations, proved to be surprisingly amicable amongst the frequent foes.
“Everyone was so surprised. It was so pleasant,” Ritchie said. “The most shocking thing to me was Bill is obviously a big liberal and very hard on the president.”

“He’s donated a lot of money to other politicians,” he added. “You know, you’ve had Biden, Clinton, Obama—everybody—he had never been to the White House.”
During the visit, Trump personally led the group on a tour of the White House that none of the other Presidents Maher supported have ever offered to him.
“He took us up to the private residence. We saw the Gettysburg Address in the Lincoln Bedroom,” Kid Rock continued.
“And I was like, you’ve never been here, Bill? And I was like, how about this? President Trump, you know, extending this olive branch and we talked about things we had in common.”
Among the topics discussed, “ending wokeness” and “securing the border” came up.
The discussion even touched on foreign policy matters regarding Iran and Israel, something Ritchie found particularly interesting. “It blew my mind. I was very proud,” he noted.
During the segment, “Fox & Friends” co-host Lawrence Jones asked the “American Badass” singer whether Maher had left the meeting with a changed perspective on Trump.
“100%. 100%. Me and Dana both said there was like—there has never been anyone who has ever met the president in any scenario who has walked away without saying, like, wow, what a great guy. He’s so funny, so engaging, he’s so smart,” he detailed.
🚨 LMAO! A reporter just asked Trump if he’d wear Kid Rock’s flashy American flag jumpsuit
TRUMP: “I don’t know, I was thinking about wearing it TOMORROW! We’ve got a big day coming up.” 🤣
I’d pay to see that 😂 pic.twitter.com/aL3RzL4pGB

“And absolutely, Bill even said to me—after that he goes, ‘Wow, that was—‘ you know, everybody’s mind was kind of blown,” he noted.
Reflecting on the encounter, Kid Rock shared a phone call he received from Trump following the dinner.
“The president called me late last night. Everyone was a little suspect about going into this. Even the president [said to me], like, ‘What have you got me doing?’” he pointed out.
“I go, ‘man, we’re trying to show people that even though we’ve been hard on each other, that when you get face-to-face, maybe we can have more civility in this country and try to bring people together,’ you know. That was my whole intention.”
Earlier that day, Ritchie stood alongside the President dressed in patriotic colors, as Trump signed an executive order targeting ticket resellers and scalpers who drive up prices and exploit concertgoers.

The order instructs the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice to work with state attorneys general to crack down on predatory pricing practices by ticket resellers, as reported by The Hill.
It also enforces the Better Online Ticket Sales (BOTS) Act, pushing for greater consumer protection measures.
Additionally, the executive order mandates transparency at all levels of the ticket-purchasing process, particularly in the resale market, to shield consumers from unfair pricing.
The initiative aims to combat deceptive and anti-competitive behavior in the secondary ticketing industry.
“Anyone who’s bought a concert ticket in the last decade, maybe 20 years, no matter what your politics are, knows it is a conundrum,” Kid Rock told reporters.

“If you buy a ticket for 100 bucks by the time you check it out, it’s 170. You don’t know what you can charge for it, but more importantly, these bots you know, they come in to get all the good tickets to your favorite shows you want to go to, and then they’re relisted immediately for sometimes a 4 or 500% markup.”
He added that artists themselves do not see any of the profits from these inflated resales.
Trump, who promised to combat high concert ticket prices during his campaign, voiced his support for the initiative.
“It bothers him, it bothers a lot of other artists too,” Trump said, referring to Kid Rock’s concerns over ticket scalping.
