Critics slammed actors Sharon Stone and Alec Baldwin after they went off on separate rants about Americans being “ignorant” and “uniformed,” at an event held in another country.
During a press conference at the Torino Film Festival in Turin, Italy, Stone went on a tirade against American voters after being asked about violence against women.
“This question about the question of violence against women is– is a big one. And I think we have to really stop and think about things,” the “Basic Instinct” star began.
“And we have to stop and think about who we choose for government,” she added. “And if, in fact, we are actually choosing our government or if the government is choosing itself.”

Stone told reporters that “Italy has seen fascism,” and noted that the country understands “what happens” because they “have seen this before.”
“My country is in the midst of adolescence. Adolescence is very arrogant. Adolescence thinks it knows everything,” she continued.
“Adolescence is naive and ignorant and arrogant. And we are in our ignorant, arrogant adolescence.”

The aging actress followed up by taking a shot of American voters after President-elect Donald Trump won by a landslide.
“We haven’t seen this before in our country. So Americans who don’t travel, who 80% don’t have a passport, who are uneducated, are in their extraordinary naïveté,” Stone alleged.
“What I would say is that the only way that we can help with these issues is to help each other.”
She said it wasn’t enough that “women should help women, because that’s the only way we have survived so far.”
“We must say that good men must help good men, and those good men must be very aware that a lot of their friends are not good men,” Stone claimed.
“We can’t continue to pretend that your friends are good men when they’re not good men. And you must be very clear minded and understand that your friends who are not good men are dangerous, violent men.”
The apparently man-hating liberal celebrity was quick to point out that “The No. 1 killer for women is men. It is very important to remember that.”
Later, at another press conference at the festival, actor Alec Baldwin, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award, despite fatally shooting “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the film he both produced and starred in, described Americans as “uninformed about reality.”
“Television news in the United States is a business. They have to make money,” Baldwin commented during his speech. “There’s a hole, there’s a vacuum. There is a gap, if you will, in information for Americans.”
Alec Baldwin says, “Americans are really uninformed about reality.”

“Americans are very uninformed about reality, what’s really going on — climate change, Ukraine, Israel — you name it,” he added. “The biggest topics in the world, Americans have an appetite for a little bit of information.”
“There are many challenges to face,” Baldwin ranted on. “The environment, the problem of plastic, of permafrost: There are plastic molecules in every corner of the planet. These are the real problems to solve.”
Social media was quick to give the celebrities, who make a living playing pretend, a harsh reality check.
“Hollywood actors like Sharon Stone and Alec Baldwin now say Trump voters are “ignorant and stupid” for voting for him,” comedian Tim Young tweeted. “Stop giving money to people who hate you. Stop watching their garbage films.”
In a separate post, he pointed out that “Alec Baldwin shot and killed a woman… and in his privileged reality, he didn’t have to serve any jail time for that.”
Celebrities continue to denounce the majority of American voters as, in Sharon Stone’s words, ‘ignorant and uneducated.’ Alec Baldwin dismissed them as ‘uninformed,'” conservative commentator Jonathan Turley clapped back.
“Yet, the voters were smart enough to see the establishment’s inherent contempt for them in the election…”
One social media critic summed up the liberal celebrities’ anti-American commentary succinctly.
“So Sharon Stone, who basically is know for inhaling cocaine and making soft porn garbage movies and Alec Baldwin, the guy who shoot an innocent film maker to dead on a film set are telling that Americans are dumb and ignorant. Yeah right,” they wrote.
