Country music star Garth Brooks faces accusations of sexual misconduct from a former makeup artist who worked on his staff.
A 27-page lawsuit, filed Thursday under the pseudonym “Jane Roe,” alleges a series of inappropriate incidents spanning several years.
According to Roe, one disturbing event involved Brooks compelling her to make contact with his exposed genitalia while she worked on his hair.
She accuses Brooks of appearing without clothes after a shower at his home, grabbing her hands, and forcing them onto his erection, expressing a fantasy involving her performing oral sex on him while wearing glasses.

The lawsuit further alleges Brooks raped her in a Los Angeles hotel room in 2019 during preparations for a Grammy event.
Roe states that Brooks arranged for one suite to accommodate them both and denied her request for separate lodging. “Brooks appeared in the doorway to the bedroom, completely naked,” the lawsuit reads.
“He stood there and flexed his muscles,” the document states. “(She) immediately had a sick feeling in her stomach, knowing she was trapped in the room alone with Brooks, with no one to help.”
She claims Brooks overpowered her, suspending her upside down by the legs and violating her.
Roe, who describes herself as a petite woman, says that Brooks was thrusting into her so hard that she “felt as if she were breaking in two.”
Despite the alleged ordeal, Roe maintained her professional duties due to financial hardship, claiming Brooks manipulated her vulnerable situation for his personal benefit.
The suit claims though she told him not to, Brooks fondled her breasts while she put on his makeup and went on to masturbate after she was done.
She also accuses Brooks of groping her, exposing his private parts repeatedly, and discussing explicit fantasies and group sex involving his wife, country star Tricia Yearwood.
Roe’s team notes that Brooks preemptively filed a suit anonymously last month, alleging that he was being blackmailed over salary and benefits disputes.
Brooks denies all allegations, asserting that Roe’s claims are baseless attempts at character assassination aimed at extorting money.
“(Roe’s) false allegations and her threats to wrongfully assassinate (Brooks’) character through the public airing of such repulsive and untrue allegations have caused (Brooks) emotional distress including anxiety and fear for himself and his family,” his lawyers stated.
Brooks said the extortion attempts for millions of dollars by Roe has caused the “Friends In Low Places” singer “serious mental injury.”
“For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars,” Brooks commented in the statement.
“It has been like having a loaded gun waved in my face. Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money,” he added. “In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of — ugly acts no human should ever do to another.”
Brooks countered that his lawyers filed a suit against Roe to “speak out” against her attempts at extorting and defaming his.
He also noted that the suit was filed anonymously to protect both his and her family from the press.
“I want to play music tonight. I want to continue our good deeds going forward. It breaks my heart these wonderful things are in question now,” he concluded.
“I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be.”
Roe plans to pursue a jury trial, and is seeking financial redress and punitive measures from the country super star.
“We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks,” her lawyers said in a statement.
“The complaint filed today demonstrates that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood and in the rap and rock and roll industries but also in the world of country music.”
They are “confident” that the singer will be held accountable and said that his own lawsuit was “an act of desperation and an attempt to intimidate their client.
“We encourage others who may have been victimized to contact us as no survivor should suffer in silence,” they wrote.
Meanwhile, Brooks performed in Las Vegas amidst the unfolding controversy and addressed the situation in an Instagram post.
“If there was ever a night that I really needed this, TONIGHT was that night,” he wrote. “Thank you for my life!!!!!”
