Actress Patricia Heaton criticized Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) after the congresswoman condemned Israel for an attack using explosive pagers in Lebanon linked to Iran-backed Hezbollah militants.
In a post on X, the “Everybody Loves Raymond” star and avid Israel supporter criticized AOC, highlighting her silence on the killing of children by Hezbollah while expressing outrage over the destruction of terrorists’ communication devices.
“Hey @AOC, where were you when Hezbollah killed 12 Druze children on a soccer field with indiscriminate bombing?” Heaton tweeted. “Crickets Please sit this one out. Your J*w h*tred is showing.”
On July 27, rockets launched by Hezbollah struck a soccer field in the Druze town in Golan Heights, killing at least 12 children and injuring many more.

AOC’s initial post said the explosion of the pagers seriously injured and killed “innocent civilians.”
“This attack clearly and unequivocally violates international humanitarian law and undermines US efforts to prevent a wider conflict,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Wednesday.
“Congress needs a full accounting of the attack, including an answer from the State Department as to whether any US assistance went into the development or deployment of this technology,” she continued.
AOC attached an excerpt from the Department of Defense Law of War Manual, which bars using seemingly harmless objects as traps designed to explode.
“It is prohibited in all circumstances to use booby-traps or other devices in the form of apparently harmless portable objects that are specifically designed and constructed to contain explosive material,” according to the manual.
The regulation also mentions that this ban aims to prevent the mass production of dangerous objects that could attract civilians, particularly children.
I guess I’m “enemy number one.” Anyone care to join me? https://t.co/6yr6Y5cJJu

The explosions, which potentially killed 19 and wounded 150 members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), began Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m., when pagers used by Hezbollah began going off with messages from higher ups.
The explosive pagers beeped several times before going off simultaneously injuring members of the terrorist organization across Iran.
Heaton has been vocal in her support for Israel following the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7, frequently using social media to denounce rampant anti-Semitism.
In a notable post, she urged others to join her after an anti-Israel representative labeled supporters of Israel and Jewish people as “the enemy.”
The CBS star responded to a clip of Taher Herzallah, a representative of American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), who said, “Anyone who has a relationship with or identifies as a Jewish person or a Christian Zionist, they are enemy number one. And our community needs to recognize them as such.”
“I guess I’m ‘enemy number one.’ Anyone care to join me?” Heaton tweeted.
Yesterday my House office was tagged with blood-splattered signs accusing me of supporting terrorism after I questioned the pager operation, which clearly runs counter to US policy.
They must live under a rock to not know I don’t take well to bullies.

On Friday, AOC took to social media to report that her congressional office was “tagged with blood-splattered signs accusing [her] of supporting terrorism” after she slammed Israel for the explosive pagers.
“Yesterday, my House office was tagged with blood-splattered signs accusing me of supporting terrorism after I questioned the pager operation, which clearly runs counter to US policy,” she tweeted.
“They must live under a rock to not know I don’t take well to bullies,” the Squad member noted.
Shame on the @detroitnews for allowing this racist, xenophobic vile cartoon on their platform.
Pay attention to who condemns this. And then recognize the different standard Arab and Muslim politicians are held by. pic.twitter.com/nkDKon1mJH

She also reacted to a political cartoon that depicted fellow squad member Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) sitting at a desk where after a small explosion occurred. The cartoon’s Tlaib’s thought bubble reads: “Odd. My pager just exploded.”
“The way Islamophobia and anti-Arab hatred is so deeply normalized and accepted in our politics is horrifying,” AOC said about the cartoon.
“It rarely receives the equal condemnation it deserves. It is inexcusable and a massive double standard,” she added. “This is disgusting. And so is the silence around it. We see it.”
The Michigan lawmaker also condemned that cartoon, tweeting, “Our community is already in so much pain right now.”
“This racism will incite more hate + violence against our Arab & Muslim communities, and it makes everyone less safe. It’s disgraceful that the media continues to normalize this racism,” she concluded.
