Comedian Charlamagne Tha God blasted President Joe Biden for putting on a red Trump hat the day after Vice President Kamala Harris debated the former president.
“Donkey of the day for Thursday Sept. 12 goes to President Joe Biden,” Charlamagne said on his radio show, “The Breakfast Club.”
“A day after your vice president has a phenomenal debate against the former president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, you, Mr. President, decided to put on a hat that says ‘Trump 2024,’” he addressed towards Biden.
“That doesn’t seem like a show of support for your vice president to me,” he added. “This race is going to be tight, okay?”

The 81-year-old president was dared to wear the hat by a Trump supporting heckler after attending a 9/11 anniversary event at the Pennsylvania site where Flight 93 went down.
Biden showed up at a local firehouse with beer and pizza after a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial, which commemorated the brave passengers who forced the plane to crash in the rural area instead of its intended target, the Pentagon.
While hanging out with attendees, Biden traded one of his hats for a Trump supporter’s red cap advertising the former president’s campaign.

In a TikTok video, Biden handed a man, who was jeering at him about his age, a hat with the presidential seal.
After the man asked Biden to sign the hat and if he remembered his own name, Biden quipped, “I don’t remember my name. I’m slow.”
“You’re an old fart,” the heckler continued, to which Biden conceded, “I’m an old guy.”
“You’re an old fart, right?” the man added, refusing to drop it.
“I know you would know about that,” Biden shot back at the man, who was clearly balding.
“He reminds me of the guys I grew up with,” Biden quipped to the crowd as he signed the presidential hat. “There was always one in the neighborhood.”
When the president asked the Trump supporter for his red hat, the man retorted, “You want my autograph?”
“Hell no,” Biden snapped back, then shockingly put the “Trump 2024” hat over the blue cap he was already wearing.
“I’m proud of you now, you old fart,” the heckler, who was at that point wearing the signed hat, told Biden.
“Just remember, no eating dogs and cats,” Biden said in reference to a comment Trump made at the Tuesday night presidential debate.
“They’re eating the dogs. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there,” the former president said about Haitian migrants in Springfield, Ohio.
The White House claimed Biden’s choice to wear a Trump hat was an attempt to promote bipartisanship.
“At the Shanksville Fire Station, @POTUS spoke about the country’s bipartisan unity after 9/11 and said we needed to get back to that,” White House press secretary Andrew Bates tweeted.
“As a gesture, he gave a hat to a Trump supporter who then said that in the same spirit, POTUS should put on his Trump cap. He briefly wore it.”
At the same event, Biden took a photo with a group of children wearing Trump t-shirts.
Conservative influencer Benny Johnson shared an photo of some of the children wearing shirts with Trump’s face, including a red one featuring the 45th president donning aviators reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character from “Terminator” with the phrase “I’ll be back” written on it.

Charlamagne questioned why Biden would wear a hat supporting the opposition of his running mate, who the president has repeatedly referred to as a “threat to democracy.”
“Okay, if he’s a threat to democracy, why are you wearing paraphernalia that supports him being president in 2024?” he questioned. “You said you did it as a gesture of unity.”
“You can’t call someone a threat to democracy and then wear their paraphernalia and want to be unified with them,” the comedian added. “Nobody who opposed Nazis would ever wear something with a swastika on it.”
He criticized Biden for not only wearing the hat, but allowing himself to be photographed in it, which has led to the image going viral and Trump’s campaign thanking Biden for the support.
The Trump War Room X account was thrilled to point out Biden’s strange accessory.
“Kamala did so bad in last night’s debate, Joe Biden just put on a Trump hat,” the account posted on X.
“Maybe President Biden thinks MAGA stands for Make America Geriatric Again,” Charlamagne quipped. “This is why you got to keep Joe Biden in the basement.”
