The View co-host Joy Behar said that the GOP and former President Donald Trump were at fault for the torrential rains that flooded out the Burning Man festival.
More than 70,000 people were forced to shelter in place in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, when hours of rainfall on Friday night created flash flooding on the grounds of the remote week-long festival.
The Bureau of Land Management and the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office officials closed the festival’s entrance gate on Saturday when the roads became undrivable.
According to reports, festivalgoers were asked to conserve “food, water, and fuel” and advised to “take shelter in a warm, safe place,” as “greasy” ankle-deep mud made it “very difficult to move vehicles around.”

Some attendees refused to stick it out, and made a “harrowing” six-mile trek out of the watered down desert, which authorities advised against.
Among them was comedian Chris Rock and DJ Diplo, who fled on foot Friday night and were picked up by fellow burner.

“A fan offered Chris Rock and I a ride out of Burning Man in the back of a pick up,” the artist wrote over a video of himself and the stand-up star riding on a truck bed. “After walking 6 miles through the mud.”
“I legit walked the side of the road for hours with my thumb out [because] i have a show in dc tonight and didn’t want to let y’all down,” he captioned the post.
“Also shoutout to this guy for making the smart purchase of a truck not knowing it was for this exact moment,” Diplo added.

On Tuesday, Behar blamed Republicans for the rain, during show’s first episode back from summer hiatus.
“This is one of the many tragedies this summer due to climate change,” Behar spouted. “This is the one… the number one existential problem now.”
Panelist Sunny Hostin noted that the downpour amounted to three months worth of rainfall in just a 24-hour period.
Joy Behar claims the rain at Burning Man was the result of Climate Change caused directly by Republicans and Trump.

“I hear Republicans say, ‘Oh, it’s not manmade, it’s not about fossil fuels,” Behar ranted. “You know, when Trump was president, all of that went up, the fossil fuel usage went up. Menace to the planet.
“Please don’t vote for him, I’m begging you,” she pleaded. “Get him out of here, he’s so dangerous.”
Co-host Ana Navarro added that the Maui wildfires, which Behar said looked like it had been hit by a “nuclear bomb,” and Hurricane Idalia in Florida, also resulted from climate change.
“There were fires in Greece, there were fires in Italy, Phoenix had 116-degree temperature, Palm Springs must have been over 100,” Behar continued. “The aquifers are drying up, if we don’t have water, we can’t exist.”
“They have to stop denying and stop with the fossil fuels and whatever else is causing this, I’m begging you, don’t vote for him,” she took another shot at Trump, before cutting to commercial break.
Behar brought the topic of conversation back to the 45th president a final time before signing off for the day, to pettily knock the weight Trump listed during his arrest.
“Just before we leave and you’ll do a legal note, this is the first president we’ve ever had who has a mug shot,” she snarked.
“Who also lied about his weight,” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in.
“And also lied about being 215,” Behar remarked. “Where is there a guy in this room who is 215 pounds?”
The show panned to a thin and tall crew member named Eddie, who reported that he was 6’5 and 215 pounds. Griffin
“You are 6’5″ and 215 pounds. How big is Trump?” Behar asked. Farrah Griffin noted that Trump is two inches shorter.
“No, no, no, that belly are you kidding,” Behar snapped.
“I don’t want anyone saying anything about the number I put on my driver’s license,” Navarro pointed out.
“On his driver license he says he’s 6’2″ and 240 and told the New York courts 6’2″ and 240,” Hostin noted. “So in the past five months he’s gained an inch and lost about 30 pounds.”
