Dawson’s Creek’s titular star James Van Der Beek became Fox News famous after going on an epic rant against the Democratic National Party.
Van Der Beek went viral on TikTok, when he released a scathing Memorial Day take-down of the DNC for blocking Democratic challengers from debating President Joe Biden in the primaries.
“If we don’t have a debate, this is not a democracy by the people, this is a democracy by them,” a seemingly post workout Van Der Beek said on Monday.
He defined “them” as the upper echelon of business, tech, pharma, and government, which were each preceded by the word “big.”

“I mean, what the h-ll?” the actor questioned. “How is this a democracy?”
“I cannot get over the fact that the Democratic National Committee is saying there will not be a debate to decide the nominee for president,’ he spat. “Are you f–king kidding me? There’s no debate?”
Fox & Friends’ Steve Doocy lauded Van Der Beek for “ripping into” the DNC according to Variety.
“I watched this video and I was like, ‘This guy deserves to be sitting on a panel analyzing everything that’s going on right now,” Doocy remarked.
He asked how any members of the DNC could think about “thanking the troops” who gave up their lives to “preserve” American freedoms, should reconsider because their actions are failing those fallen heroes.
“Stop. Think… And do your f–king job,” he warned them. “Because you are not preserving democracy right now.”
“You’re shoehorning your pick and forcing it on the rest of us,” he sniped.
Then pointed out that the DNC could not suggest that Biden’s competition, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Marianne Williamson weren’t serious contenders.
According to a Fox News Poll, RFK Jr. was supported by 16% of democratic primary voters, while Williamson’s numbers came in at 8%.
.@ClayTravis on actor James Van Der Beek calling out the DNC for not holding presidential primary debates. Who would have though the guy who played Dawson Leery would make more sense than anyone on MSNBC or CNN? Plus more Disney wokeness. pic.twitter.com/uDql6XtW7S

“That’s [nearly] a quarter of the vote who already thinks there’s at the very least, some debate about who ought to be president,” he continued.
“There’s no debate, there’s no democracy,” Van Der Beek added.
“No primary, no legitimate president. We need a debate.”
The Varsity Blues star queried how the government could be a true democracy, if “a small, little back room of people” are making the county’s “important decisions.”
“That’s not a democracy, and it doesn’t work,” he went on.
“Because y’all have been wrong a lot in these last couple of years, in that back room.”
Van Der Beek went on to take a direct shot at the Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
“There’s no debate over an 80-year-old man who, if he lives, will be the oldest sitting president in the history of the country?” He pointed out.
“And if he doesn’t live, has a vice president whose approval rating is worse than his?”
“This guy has obviously declining mental faculties,” the Vampirina voice actor concluded.
“You’re putting him up in front of a podium with flashcards telling him who to call on and what the questions are going to be. And you’re telling us there’s no debate? What about the will of the people?”
Conservative commentator Clay Travis was pleasantly surprised by Van Der Beek’s epic DNC takedown.
“I never would’ve believed that Dawson Leery from ‘Dawson’s Creek’ back in the day would make more sense analyzing the Democrat state of the presidential nomination fight than anyone on MSNBC or CNN combined,” he told Doocy.
