Greg Gutfeld erupted on Fox News after the shocking assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, delivering a searing warning to those who think violence can silence political movements.
The Turning Point USA founder was gunned down Wednesday during an appearance at Utah Valley University.
He was only 31 years old when a rooftop shooter opened fire in broad daylight.
Witnesses watched as Kirk collapsed instantly after being struck, rushed to the hospital, and later pronounced dead.

On “The Five,” Gutfeld’s outrage came after co-host Jesse Watters spoke of the tragic loss.
Gutfeld began by offering sympathy to Kirk’s family, saying, “I know that it’s somewhat an object of mockery to say ‘thoughts and prayers,’ but thoughts and prayers for his family. They need it from all of us.”
Then his tone shifted sharply. “And Jesse’s right, if they can do this, they can do anything. I think that was the message. I believe that was the message,” he said.
Charlie Kirk is a father and a husband. He is a human. I don’t care if you politically disagree with him nothing justifies this sick act. pic.twitter.com/FuygHfLRdm

Gutfeld then issued a warning that the assassination was a massive miscalculation by those hoping to suppress conservatives.
“It’s really hard to radicalize Republicans. You know, we’re not the radical type,” he remarked.
The brutal murder of Charlie Kirk is nothing short of evil a cowardly attack on America’s very soul. 🇺🇸 Faith, family, freedom, the right to speak truth trampled by violence. My blood boils. Justice must be relentless and unforgiving pic.twitter.com/RsD1EXCm6i

“But if you thought that you were going to shut a movement down, you’re going to get a rude awakening,” he concluded. “You woke us the f**k up!”
While conservatives reeled from the killing, liberal news outlet MSNBC sparked outrage with their coverage.
Host Katy Tur branded Kirk “divisive” and “polarizing.” Contributor Matthew Dowd even speculated aloud that the bullet might have come from a supporter’s “celebratory” gunfire, a suggestion blasted as absurd.

“[We] don’t know any of the full details of this yet,” Dowd claimed. “We don’t know if this is a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration or… So we have no idea about this.”
He described Kirk as “one of the most divisive younger figures” on the right and claimed “hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions.”
Dowd’s comments enraged Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who shredded the network online.

“Hey @MSNBC I’m gonna go ahead and rule out that it was one of Charlie Kirk’s supporters that accidentally shot him with a celebratory gun shot,” he shot back.
In another post, Portnoy fumed that Dowd’s speculation was an “unhinged rant” from a “lefty lunatic.”
“Imagine saying somebody basically deserves to get murdered for their political beliefs just cause you don’t agree with him,” he wrote.

“RIP Charlie Kirk,” he added. “It doesn’t matter what your opinion is of Charlie or his politics if you don’t view this as one of the darkest days in American history than you are part of the problem.”
OutKick’s Clay Travis also torched MSNBC, posting that the commentary was “utterly despicable.”
“MSNBC guest says Charlie should expect to get shot based on what he says,” he commented.
Once again, a bullet has silenced the most eloquent truth teller of an era. My dear friend Charlie Kirk was our country's relentless and courageous crusader for free speech. “I can’t believe this is real. The left wing in this country is evil and violent.”
MSNBC later issued an apology and confirmed Dowd was dismissed. Network president Rebecca Kutler admitted his remarks were “inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable.”
Dowd followed with a personal apology on BlueSky, writing, “I apologize for my tone and words. Let me be clear, I in no way intended for my comments to blame Kirk for this horrendous attack. Let us all come together and condemn violence of any kind.”

“We must find our better angels and walk back from the extremes. If we can’t agree on anything else, we must find agreement that we don’t solve our debates with violence,” the former Governator concluded.
Charlie Kirk was not a “controversial” or “polarizing” man. Charlie was a PATRIOT. 🦅🇺🇸
THIS is a turning point and we all need to turn in the right direction.

“It’s okay to disagree with someone’s political views, but celebrating his death makes you a despicable human,” he added. “No one deserves to be gunned down for their beliefs.”
Ravens star Lamar Jackson reposted comments blasting those celebrating online, with one saying, “Celebrating the death of someone you don’t share the same beliefs as is wild. Seeing it play out in real time is disgusting.”
Jake Paul, YouTuber and boxer, posted that Kirk was targeted for “telling the truth.”

Author Stephen King claimed the tragedy was “another example of American gun violence.”
