The Trump campaign trolled Oprah Winfrey after she attacked the former president during her primetime address at the DNC on Wednesday.
Winfrey told the crowd at the United Center that the 2024 presidential election is fundamentally about values and character, and asserting that “decency and respect are on the ballot.”
Identifying herself as an independent, Winfrey claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris is superior to Trump in terms of “decency and respect.”
“There’s a certain candidate that says if we just go to the polls this one time, we’ll never have to do it again,” she said in reference to when the media made a headline out of a Trump speech at a rally that they merrily took out of context.

Winfrey condemned these remarks as un-American, framing the election as a pivotal decision that will shape the nation’s future.
“So I’m calling on all you independents and undecideds. You know this is true. Values and character matter most of all,” she stressed. “In leadership and in life.”

“Common sense tells you that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz can give us decency and respect,” Winfrey added.
She urged voters to prioritize “loyalty to the Constitution” over any individual, championing values like optimism and inclusion over cynicism and retribution.
“We won’t go back, we won’t be sent back, pushed back, bullied back, kicked back. We’re not going back,” implying that electing Trump would have serious ramifications on civil rights.

“We are beyond ridiculous tweets and lies and foolery,” she aimed at Trump. “These are complicated times, and they require adult conversations.”
In retaliation, the Trump War Room’s social media account shared a simpering letter Winfrey wrote to Trump back in 2000.
“Donald,” the letter began. “I received the book excerpt. Your comments made me a little weepy.”

“It’s one thing to try and live a life of integrity – still another to have people like yourself notice,” she continued. “Too bad we’re not running for office, what a team!”
Following the DNC speeches by the Obamas the previous night, Winfrey declared, “We’re now so fired up you can’t wait to leave here and do something.”
“And what we’re going to do is elect Kamala Harris as the next president of the United States,” she proclaimed.
Michelle Obama was criticized for being disingenuous after urging Americans not to take more than they need during her Tuesday night address, despite her own $70 million net worth.
In her speech she lauded her mother, Mary Robinson, while describing her parents’ modest aspirations and community spirit.

“She and my father didn’t aspire to be wealthy. In fact, they were suspicious of folks who took more than they needed,” the former first lady remarked.
“They understood that it wasn’t enough for their kids to thrive if everyone else around us was drowning,” she added. “So my mother volunteered at the local school.”
This led to a social media backlash questioning Obama’s message, given her extreme wealth and several lavish properties.
“Yeah Michelle Obama lost me when she said “my parents taught me not to trust wealthy people” and she’s worth 70 million,” someone tweeted. “This election is comedy.”

On Wednesday, Trump announced he would no longer be polite to the Obamas after their convention speeches mocked him.
“I’m trying to be nice to these people,” he said after his outdoor rally in Asheboro, North Carolina, which is the first event he has held outdoors since the shooting.
“They were lousy presidents, and you know this one coming,” he added. “It’s the worst.”
During her speech, Michelle Obama suggested Trump felt threatened by them because they’re black and successful.
“His limited, narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working, highly educated, successful people who happen to be black,” she snarked.
“Who’s going to tell him, that the job he is currently seeking might just be one of those “Black jobs’?”
The Obamas baited Trump, and it worked.

While Barack Obama characterized Trump as a grumbling 78-year-old billionaire afraid of losing to Harris.
“There’s the childish nicknames, the crazy conspiracy theories, this weird obsession with crowd sizes,” he remarked while implying he was talking about the former president’s genitals.
Trump, speaking from behind bulletproof glass at the North Carolina Aviation Museum, fired back at the Obamas.

“They always say, ‘Sir, pleas stick to policy, don’t get personal,’” Trump remarked. “And yet they’re personal all night long, these people. Do I still have to stick to policy?”
