Trump hating actor Robert De Niro will no longer receive an honor at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) award ceremony following his tirade against the former president outside the courthouse holding his criminal trial.
The 80-year-old Academy Award-winning actor was going to be presented with the Leadership Foundation’s Service to America Award by the group next week.
However, the NAB has withdrawn the award after De Niro maligned Trump when he was trotted out by the Biden campaign to give an unhinges speech outside Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday.
“I owe this city a lot. And that’s why it’s so weird that Donald Trump is just across the street because he doesn’t belong in my city,” De Niro told the press.

The NAB, which self-identifies as “proudly bipartisan,” announced that the “Taxi Driver” star would not only no longer be honored, but will also not even be at the foundation’s event.
“This event is proudly bipartisan, uniting those from across the political spectrum to celebrate the impactful work of local broadcasters and our partners,” an NAB spokesperson told The Hill.
“While we strongly support the right of every American to exercise free speech and participate in civic engagement, it is clear that Mr. De Niro’s recent high-profile activities will create a distraction from the philanthropic work that we were hoping to recognize.”

“To maintain the focus on the service of the award winners, Mr. De Niro will no longer be attending the event.”
This announcement follows De Niro’s recent statement that he joined the Biden campaign to “preserve our freedoms,” which kicked off with a television and digital ad he narrated last week.
“I don’t mean to scare you. No, wait, maybe I do mean to scare you,” he told the crowd on Tuesday.
“If Trump returns to the White House, you can kiss these freedoms goodbye that we all take for granted.”
De Niro portrayed himself as the quintessential New Yorker, and claimed Trump wants to “destroy” their beloved shared city.
Just an actor (De Niro) pretending to hate another actor (Trump).
It’s boring at this point, quite frankly.pic.twitter.com/SG1oHAs3DG

“We New Yorkers used to tolerate him when he was just another crappy real estate hustler masquerading as a big shot,” De Niro remarked.
“I love this city. I don’t want to destroy it. Donald Trump wants to destroy not only the city but the country, and, eventually, he could destroy the world,” he added.
In his most unhinged assertion, De Niro claimed that if Trump retakes the White House in November, he will never give up the nation’s highest office.

“I can tell you right now. He will never leave. He will never leave. You know that. He will never leave,” De Niro stated.
Trump clapped back on Truth Social, calling the actor a “wacko” due to his outburst outside the court.
“I never knew how small, both mentally and physically, Wacko Former Actor Robert De Niro was,” the post began.
Trump post of the month.

“Today, De Niro, who suffers from an incurable case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, commonly known in the medical community as TDS, was met, outside the Courthouse, with a force far greater than the Radical Left – MAGA,” Trump added.
“Robert, whose movies, artistry, and brand have gone WAY DOWN IN VALUE since he entered the political arena at the request of Crooked Joe Biden, looked so pathetic and sad out there,” he said of the “Ezra” star. “Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio!!!”
He followed the post up with a hilarious deepfake video that altered De Niro’s voice to have him say that he was indeed “washed up.”

The video, also posted on the former president’s social network, shows De Niro giving the speech outside Trump’s trial that is entirely different.
In Trump’s version, the “Cape Fear” star refers to himself as a “scared little man” and a “sicko” with “lots of skeletons in my closet.”
The altered video also mocks his height, has him referring to Trump as a “real man,” and implies that both himself and Biden are sexual deviants.
“I don’t know why they made this podium so high. I told them I’m coming straight from the bathhouse and didn’t have my platform shoes with me,” deep fake De Niro remarks.
“I’m speaking to you today because I’m a scared little man, a washed-up actor with lots of skeletons in my closet.
“People like me need Joe Biden and power not because he’s any good, but because he enjoys the same sick perversions,” he continues.
Trump’s video mocks the “Killers of the Flower Moon” star for only getting to “pretend to be tough and powerful” when he’s portraying a tough guy in a film role.
“If Donald Trump was in front of me right now I’d punch myself right in the face, get down on my hands and knees…” he hilariously continues.
The video also turns his famous line from “Meet the Parents” on its head, suggesting that if Trump is reelected, “sickos like me will be permanently banned from the circle of trust.”
De Niro celebrated Trump’s conviction on 34 criminal charges during a red carpet event for his new film with Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne.
“I think justice was served,” he told a reporter on Thursday. “This is just one part of the whole picture, so I want to be very careful.”
When asked if he believed that the conviction would negatively impact Trump’s chances of reelection, De Niro responded that he “would think it would.”
“This never should have gotten to this stage,” he went on. “I don’t want to be talking, but I am so upset by it. I have to say something. This is my country. This guy wants to destroy it. Period. He’s crazy.”
De Niro also admitted to being fearful for his safety after taking up mantle of Biden’s celebrity mouthpiece.
“You think about that. It makes me more angry, but I have to be afraid to be intimidated,” he responded like a tough guy.
“And that’s why I said, you’re not going to intimidate us.”
“People are fed up, they’re going to fight back. That’s not what we’re about in this country,” De Niro concluded.
