Shock jock Howard Stern fully embraced his being “woke” and considers it to be an accolade, rather than an insult.
On his eponymous SiriusXM show’s Monday episode, Stern addressed criticism that he has gone so “woke” that his entertainment value has declined.
“By the way, I kind of take that as a compliment, that I’m woke,” he remarked.
“I’ll tell you how I feel about it,” the host explained. “To me the opposite of woke, is being asleep.”
Howard Stern is an establishment shill:
"I take that as a compliment that I am woke. Call me woke all you want. I ran out Friday morning to CVS, thank you CVS, I went over there at 9 am and got myself that new Vaccine for Covid." pic.twitter.com/yVKWYJ45Y7

Stern laid out what he considers to be favorable qualities associated with the label.
“If woke means I can’t get behind Trump, which is what I think it means, or that I support people who want to be transgender or I’m for the vaccine, dude call me woke as you f–king want,” he noted.
Stern insulted critics by saying he was “not for stupidity,” then detailed his decision to get jabbed with the updated version of the vaccine.
“I ran out Friday morning. I was over at CVS. Thank you, CVS. I went over there 9 a.m. and got myself that new vaccine for COVID,” he jovially shared.
“F–king science. This f–king country is so great. I am woke, motherf–ker, and I love it.”
Stern said that wants to “be awake” and get his news from “legitimate” sources, then gave an example of how “woke” he is.

“I believe the election was not rigged. I am woke,” he repeated. “I think that’s a compliment.”
“Am I for kids being able to read about anything in school? Yeah, I am. I don’t give a s–t what kids read,” Stern said according to Yahoo! News. “Give me vaccines, man. I’m all for it.”
The 69-year-old purported that “guys on the internet” who reject the epithet “seem to be really angry, super against gay people — especially transgender.”
Meanwhile, American Horror Story: 1984 star Emma Roberts, was accused of transphobia while on the set of Ryan Murphy’s hit horror anthology series.
Transgender co-star Angelica Ross detailed the alleged incident during an Instagram Live rant on Tuesday.
Ross claimed that while sharing a scene, Roberts complained to the director about the actor.
Ross alleged that the director told them to cut it out and get back to work, but when he addressed them both as “ladies,” Roberts objected.
“[Roberts] then looks at me, and she goes, ‘Don’t you mean lady,’” and covered her mouth.
Ross did not report the occurrence out of fear of being retaliated against by the show’s star.
“My blood is boiling because I’m like, if I say something, it’s gonna be me that’s the problem,” the former Pose star continued.
“I know this because there was someone who spoke up about what she was doing, and they got repercussions from it.”
According to People, Ross stopped speaking to Roberts in the aftermath.
“When I saw that happening, I was just like, ‘I’m done. I’m done.’ I didn’t speak to that b—- the entire time after that,” the Transparent actor concluded.
Thank you @RobertsEmma for calling and apologizing, recognizing your behavior was not that of an ally. I will leave the line open to follow up on your desire to do better and support social justice causes with your platform.

On Wednesday afternoon, Ross claimed that Roberts had reached out to make amends.
“Thank you [Roberts] for calling and apologizing, recognizing your behavior was not that of an ally,” the actor tweeted.
“I will leave the line open to follow up on your desire to do better and support social justice causes with your platform.”
Stern got into his own spat with fellow talking head Bill Maher, when he took offense to commentary the HBO star made about the SirusXM star’s fondness for talking about his wife on the show.
“How does this gushing about the second wife — how does that make the first wife feel?” Maher remarked on the Sunday episode of his podcast Club Random.
“Could we just not gush about the person while the other person can still hear it?”
Stern was incensed by what he considered to be Maher’s “sexist” remarks.
“What a convoluted, nutty thing to say. It’s assuming that he knows something about my first marriage,” he raged.
“That, of course, the man must be leaving the woman and the woman must be devastated and be sitting around pining away for her famous man,” Stern added.
Stern feels like discussing how much he loves and appreciates his wife Beth on the show is “pretty positive” messaging, as opposed to “ragging” about his spouse.
“He ought to shut his mouth,” the radio star said about Maher. “But evidently he’s very worried about my relationship.”
Stern said he reached out to the HBO host by email and asked him to call so he could tell him what he thinks about his life and marriage, but got no response.
“I just wanted to see how brave he was. If he was brave enough to call me and actually get on the phone with me and zero response,” he stated.
“I don’t care, though. He can think what he wants,” Stern concluded. “I think I’m no longer friends with him.”
