“The View” panelist Sunny Hostin alleged that President Joe Biden would lose the black vote if he dumps Vice President Kamala Harris as his running mate.
“Over the past five elections, where you’ve had a Democrat win, they needed the black vote. Ninety-one percent of African Americans voted for Biden and will continue to vote for Biden if Kamala is his running mate,” Hostin declared.
“I would be very careful, President Biden, about getting rid of Kamala Harris because we will not support you.”
Her liberal co-hosts were up in arms about her assertion, with moderator Whoopi Goldberg questioning where Hostin came up with the idea.
“If Biden gets rid of Kamala Harris and inserts someone else, he will lose the Black vote.”

“Your opinion is valid and beautiful and all of that,” she pandered. “But when was the last time you saw anybody get rid of a vice president?”
Co-host Sarah Haines quickly interjected, asking what that would mean “If it was between Biden and Trump.”
“If Biden gets rid of Kamala Harris and inserts someone else, he will lose the black vote,” Hostin maintained.
“Even if it’s another black woman like Val [Demings],” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked in astonishment.
“We’re not interchangeable,” Hostin snapped to applause from the studio audience.
“And no one is saying you are, but you wouldn’t vote in an election against Donald Trump and Joe Biden, and black women wouldn’t vote?” Griffin questioned.
That’s when Joy Behar jumped in to add her two cents. “I don’t want to whitesplain, but you might be underestimating the black community of voters,” she remarked.
Hostin said that she didn’t think she was, and Griffin continued to troll her about the commentary.
“You would really sit out an election – you said I was throwing my vote away if I wrote in another Republican,” Griffin recalled, which Hostin went.
“Are you not throwing away your vote by not supporting Biden if he drops Harris?” Griffin continued.
Goldberg tried to shut down the conversation before it could spin further out of their control.
I’m sorry, y’all. She is not going anywhere. Let’s start with that. So, this is a lot of hypothetical B.S. meant to make your mind explode,” she noted.
Haines capped off the discussion by saying that it was a “privilege to discuss the alternative.”
“What I mean by that is if you are up against Donald Trump,” she began.
“Biden and Vice President Harris are my only option, and if we survived President Trump once, we can survive [Biden and Harris], and we will be fine.”
Earlier in the week, Behar seemed to hit a sour note with actor Matthew McConaughey when she accused him of being “anti-gun,” while discussing his potential political run in home state Texas.
“As far as office, I will always measure what category I can be most useful,” he remarked.

“Do you think you can get elected in Texas being anti-gun,” Behar interrupted.
“One thing about me and politics is — to give you a direct statement right there,” McConaughey shot back while pointing at her. “It’s playing a game that I’m not interested in playing.”
“Okay, don’t do it,” Behar quickly relented.
Seemingly sensing the tension during the exchange, Goldberg quickly distracted the audience with news that they would all get a copy of the children’s book, Just Because, that the actor was on the show promoting.
