Former Trump Lawyer Alan Dershowitz said that former President Barack Obama refused to attend the same event as ex-Fox News star Geraldo Rivera.
Dershowitz told conservative talk show host Charlie Kirk that the 44th president presented him with an ultimatum about attending his 75th birthday in 2013.
“President Obama was invited and he said he would come, but then when he heard that Geraldo Rivera was invited too, basically his office said, unless you disinvite Geraldo Rivera I’m not coming,” the former O.J. Simpson attorney explained.
President or not, Dershowitz refused to turn his back on a friend at the behest of another.

“I’m a loyal guy, I said to the president of the United States no, Geraldo Rivera is coming, you can stay away,” he revealed.
“And the president of the United States stayed away from my 75th birthday because I invited Geraldo Rivera.”
The soon to be 85-year-old former Harvey Weinstein legal counsel said that he’d stand up for a friend “any day of the week.”
“I believe in loyalty. I believe in friendships. I don’t agree with Geraldo on everything, but he’s my friend,” Dershowitz continued.
“So of course I invited him to my 75th birthday and I’m inviting him to my 85th birthday.”
Rivera potentially pissed of Obama when he took a personal jab at him in 2013.
“I take absolutely no pleasure in reporting this because I’m rooting for this president to succeed even though he’s stuck-up and snobby and everything else,” the former Fox News host sniped.
“I want him to succeed,” he added. “Because when he succeeds we all succeed.”
In 2015, Rivera accused Obama of glossing over the “ghetto civil war” to highlight police brutality against Black people.
He accuse Obama of only getting “involved in racial matters” when a Black person is “portrayed” as a victim.
“He jumps in and the classic NAACP, ‘We are victims, woe is us, take care of this situation. To me, the president has failed most profoundly in the area of race relations,” Rivera detailed.
At the time, he insisted that police brutality “pales in comparison” to the ongoing “ghetto civil war,” which should not be “ignored” or “minimized.”
“I have never seen the president get engaged when it’s an African-American killing another African-American or two gangs killing and an 8-year-old is killed in the crossfire,” Rivera accused.
During the conversation with Kirk, he detailed how defending Trump during his first impeachment trial cost him “a great deal” socially.
“My former friends on the radical left, one of them was walking yesterday on the beach and he saw me coming and he took a sharp right turn, went up to the top of the dunes,” he explained.
“I thought he’d fall off to avoid even seeing me – and that’s the way it is today.”
He blamed Democrats for rejecting anyone with politics that aren’t the same as their own.
“It’s just that they don’t want to hear opposing points of view – that’s not liberals – it’s called progressive, but it’s regressive,” Dershowitz stated.
The “Get Trump” author is feeling particularly shunned in his regular vacation haunt, Martha’s Vineyard.
“The library has cancelled me, my synagogue has cancelled me. The community center has cancelled me,” he complained.
“The book show on Martha’s Vineyard – I’m probably the best-selling author on Martha’s Vineyard and they cancelled me.”

The Obama’s also own an estate on the ultra exclusive island, where their personal chef, Tafari Campbell, recently drowned while paddle boarding.
The Daily Mail reported that Campbell wasn’t alone at the time, but accompanied by a fellow female staffer at the time of the tragic incident.
According to law enforcement authorities, Campbell fell off his paddle board and struggled to keep his head above water, before ultimately going under.
The unidentified woman was on a separate paddle board, and tried to reach Campbell before he drowned, but was forced to return to shore to call for help.
A member of the former president’s Secret Service called emergency responders, who searched for the chef all night.
His body was discovered by authorities at 10am the next day, when rescue teams used sonar to scan the water for his body.
