Former President Donald Trump survived shots from hecklers and took a swing at President Biden at the LIV Golf tournament he hosted in Florida this week.
The 45th president played with pros Brooks Koepka and Sergio Garcia in Thursday’s pro-am at his Trump National Doral golf course, prior to the start of LIV Golf’s Team Championship.
Trump and several other golfers, including his son Eric, Charles Barkley, and Caitlyn Jenner, participated in the “Back Off Challenge,” where hecklers sling insults while golfers try to take a shot.
The former president took practice swings while provokers asked he could “make America like Jews again,” insulted his wardrobe with a sly, “You’re a billionaire but you dress like you cleaned out a TJ Maxx,” and made a sleight about the FBI raid of his Mar-A-Lago home.
“Don’t worry, my house got raided too,” someone jabbed as Trump smashed the ball across a pond.
Eric Trump accepted the challenge following his father’s successful swing. One jeerer noted that his “scorecard is shadier than Hunter Biden’s laptop,” which Eric laughed off as “not a lie.”
The same day, Trump took a shot at Biden after sending his first ball screaming down the fairway. “Do you think Biden could do that,” he asked a crowd of onlookers. “I don’t think so, I don’t think so!”
Trump also torched the PGA Tour, clearly still upset that they yanked the 2022 championship from his Bedminster golf course in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol Riot.
“The PGA (Tour) is being destroyed by the PGA (Tour),” he told Golfweek. “They were stupid and they shouldn’t be stupid. This was a great opportunity for them.
“The Tour mishandled it so badly and the people at the top, something should happen with them, they mishandled it so badly,” he continued. “The Tour decided to go, as Richard Nixon said, to stonewall it. That didn’t work out too well for them.”
Trump wasn’t the only celebrity golfer to take on the “Back Off Challenge” during the pro-am event. “I can’t tell where the sky ends and you begin,” someone snarked at NBA legend Charles Barkley.
“You look like you got fired from the New York Times for going into the women’s bathroom too much,” another taunted “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison.
“Now that your daughter’s a billionaire, do you borrow money from her?” Someone questioned Caitlyn Jenner.
“That’s a sweet grandmother,” another mocked the transgender athlete, who threw her club in response and remarked, “I borrow every penny I can get out of her.”
